Price Per Unit Requirement Changes Starting June 12th

Price Per Unit or PPU is a common attribute found on many consumable products being sold on Amazon. PPU is used by customers to compare and analyze different products. In an effort to deliver a complete, consistent, and accurate shopping experience, Amazon is making PPU a requirement for certain product types.

Price Per Unit, PPU Example

These products will require PPU information

  • BEAUTY
  • BODY_CARE_PRODUCT
  • FRAGRANCE, HAIR_CARE_PRODUCT
  • HAIR_REMOVAL_AND_SHAVING_PRODUCT
  • LUXURY_BEAUTY
  • MAKE_UP, SKIN_CARE_PRODUCT
  • HEALTH_MISC
  • DAILY_LIVING_AIDS, DIETARY_SUPPLEMENTS
  • HEALTH_FOOD, OTC_MEDICATION
  • PERSONAL_CARE_APPLIANCE
  • SEXUAL_WELLNESS
  • BABY_FOOD
  • GROCERY

What if you sell any of these products but don't already include PPU information?

Don't worry. As these were previously optional fields, changes only apply to new and updated listings. New product submissions and updates without "unit count" or "unit type" details will fail.

If you need help determining your Price Per Unit, adding new products, or updating existing products please contact us or call at 260-918-1677.

Happy Selling.
